That was one reason I went for the Drift - the removeable battery. I got a couple of spares and charge them in advance. Gives be loads of capacity to record track video without the worry of re-charging mid session. The budget one I linked to on ebay uses Nokia BL-5C phone batteries - cheap and easy to buy spares. You could probably get away with using it as a budget hand-held too, although viewing screen position isn't ideal

Here's a good review of the TCL SVC200,nearly got one myself but plumped for the budget Gopro instead.
