Was just having a read.... and just thought. Distance isnt amazingly relevant depending on where your playing. Playing a tourney field, and Ion will quite easily hit the other side of the field no problem. Playing woodland... it will still travel a good distance. Since ive never fired an A5 i dont know what their distance is like.

All i can say about the tippmans is they are built to last. We use tippman 98's down at the site and they've been going for years. fantastic guns.

I cant believe this is still going ...its the difference between a brick and a flick knife..both do the same job but a flick knife will always be cooler ...

you cant stab someone with a brick

or cut a cake with it

or fold it in half.....

and you cant build a house with a flick knife

so how do they do the same job?

Didnt read threw the hole thread but just to let you know how the flatline works to project the ball further is a standard barrel would look like this

---------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------
Balls fly straight down the barrel with nothing done to them just pure fps
But with a flatline this happens
---------------------------------------------------

-------------^------------------------------------
That dint just above would be a rubber insertation or somthing alike which would make the ball spin backwards pushing air underneath it causing it to be propelled in a straight line for a longer distance
Hope that clears things up

No competition, different markers made for different purposes, but if i had to say...

Distance A-5 due to flatline barrel and "centrifugal force."
Accuracy ION due to better bored barrels and higher quality threading. :D
