Curious, if people are getting 1400 shots from the largest volumizer that to me sounds like theres no trade off, if theres no 'down side' to running the largest volumizer then why offer 3 different sizes?

Your loosing me here guys......

I run a 1.5l tank and only ever fill it to 3000psi, otherwise, it wreaks the dive bottles for everyone else, we usually have around 10-12 players at a tournament (2 five man teams), with only about 7 or 8 bottles.

Can someone TELL me, from previous experience, which one to use.

Ben, which one did you use when you had an A4???

Regarding paint consumption, I carry 4 x 140 shot pots and a halo full. That's around 750 shots.

In my eyes, if you can't shoot out 5 players with that amount of paint in 8 minutes, then all your doing is laying hails of paint at their bunkers... I just don't see the point in that.

Thats what we're giving you, our experience!

Maybe try each, set the shot counter to 0 and see what you get the most shots from.
Everyones set up is different, paint barrel match lpr pressure etc etc etc

Like many things there maybe no deffinitive answer.

OK, I think we are confusing seperate issue here Russ. Now, hopefully this won't be teaching grandma to suck eggs...

The output pressure from your air source (e.g. geddon, Angel AIR, whatever) needs to be 350psi running out into the vertical reg (front handle) of the A4. Doesn't matter whether your bottle is 3000psi/4500psi, it is the output pressure we are concerned with, not tank pressure.

With that pressure (around 350psi) running into the marker you don't need any volumiser attached.

Run it like that first and see how you like it. The idea of the volumisers is that they allow you to run less pressure into the marker, the bigger the volumiser, the less pressure you have to run in (as there is a greater build up of air pressure in a larger chamber - the volumiser).

It sounds complicated but it isn't.

So, to cut to the chase; don't bother with the volumisers. Put 350 psi into the A4, turn it on = shoot fools :)

I know it's a balls ache, but seriously read the manual thoroughly, twice - it will save you a lot of headaches when you take it out for the first time

Well, if that's the amount of paint you're chucking, you're safe to go with the largest one.
The lower the pressure, the more air it'll consume. If the pressure is lower, you need more volume to get the same velocity, simple physics...
The lower your pressure, the gentler your marker will be on paint, which decreases the chance of bursting any balls in your gun. I'd recommend using the largest one in your case, since you don't shoot a lot anyway. Don't forget that the Angel/HALO combo isn't gentle on paint. Basically you have the paint sitting on a needle point (the Sensi), and it is being pushed down on top of it by the HALO, so any added gentleness is welcome.

Hope this helped.
