I was just playing a recent tourny and we where into i think our 5th game of the day and we had done very well so far.....

anyways the game came down to 2on 1 where i was left in anyways the game continued and i had advanced up and was pulled for spray on my top from a barracade.. so anyways the other team had just one player left and at the end i went over and turns out all there tean was shooting yellow paint sponsored anyways i had been pulled out for green paint... as i know mistakes happen and... hey you just get on with it howvere the marchell realised this only at the end of the game..... but nothing could be done about it... i have to except these decisions myself as a marchell as well...... but i was just wondering whether we anyhting could be done for example when a marchell realises he made a mistake eg like paint colour

i guess nothing could be done because the game has finished i just think maybe they could resume play.. with the players that where left in i would certainly be willing to do this if the other team had had a decision that was like mine i dont know what do you all think..........???

OK, lets say for argument sake, that you are on the other team....
the marshal decides he was wrong, the last player on the team was re-instated, what would your reaction be if you had hung the flag.....?
I know what mine would be..and yours probably come to think of it.
It just goes to show...marshals are human. For every one mistake they made, how many good decisions did they make?Lot of pressure on these guys...a lot of decisions have to be made on the spot....unfortunatly, thats the way the cookie crumbles my friend.

yeah i understand that oen im a marchell myself and too be honest i wasnt arsed really thats the way it goes..

i was just looking for maybe some other options we would look into to improve our marchelling

for example in cricket they have the 3rd umpire that looks for lbw

i suggestion would be all teams have to shoot the same colour paint this would help in some cases and would help marchells..

Respect to all you marchells

Then you'd have to get all the paint manufacturers to agree on a colour of paint!!

The problem with a 3rd umpire approach, would that you'd need a marshall for every single player, and the field would be too crowed in 7 and 10 man games...... in a 7 man game you'd have 28 people on the field.....

Unfortunatly, there's nothing you can do!! You were unlucky, you've just got to realise that luck evens itself out. Next time you play, your oppo might have the same misfortune......

And then what would you do with 2 Diablo teams or 2 Zap teams playing each other? Just think, a really big tourney like Campaign Cup, you'd have to design over 150 different paint colours!!!

And then we'd have the argument from players about the fact that their opposition was using dark red paint, this stuff that hit them was more a mauve\scarlet colour of paint...... :D
