Ok, let me clarify, while I was away, I am only 17 and live with my parents who work from home so there has been somebody at home all day every day.
I believe the error that has occurred is that they were unable to find our house (the problem happens every now and then) and simply returned the items as there was no attempted delivery.
You also say the items reached my house on the 14th December. On Friday 14th December I was personally at home for the whole day and there was no delivery attempted.
I also believed that in the first payment for the items I was covering the cost of postage in what I paid however I have said over a pm that I am prepared to cover part of the cost of the second postage however I do believe you should be able to claim the cost of postage back as there was no actual attempt to deliver to my house although they will probably dispute this.
