the film itself is very good, it does not matter if you like rap music or not.....i dont and thought that it was a great film..

very funny in parts, very raw and full of energy. Eminem is a quality actor.....

....BUT.....my only one complaint (other than bad light of paintball) is that ended too soon.......he won the rap battle and then was like "right, im off back to work"

nothing else.........and the "hype" about the film i think is about the song...loose yourself. I thinik people go and see the film expecting him to sing that and make it big.....

so when he doesnt and it only appears when he is writing his songs then they think it has fallen short of the "hype".

personaly i dont think so.....would it have been better if hed mad it and sung the song.......errr........i think so......but it was still a great film!!!!

peace:cool:

Actually people it was an old Tippman SL68, or the pro carbine.

2 things give it away, it has a solid steel elbow attatched to the marker, and if you look at when fat bloke first pulls it from under his jacket, it has a steel loop used for a sling (in this case, removed).

And for the sake of realism, maybe they dropped the paint in the elbow as he fired.

And, it's not such a 'bad example' of painball being used. you don't hear alot of baseballers screaming about Joe Pesci beating up some dude with a baseball bat in a scorsese film do you!

Besides, any one remember the old Beneton adds?

8 Mile Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I saw this last night and thought it was a pile of poo. The story was poor to lame and it was just a tool to promo Eminem. It was not as gritty as people have said and it just was not what i had expected.

The only good bits were his raps and as most of you know i aint into my rap or hip hop. (each to his own of course but not my cup of tea)

Any way the reason I post this here is the thing that really got up my nose is when they pull a Paint ball gun from the car and start to shoot other cars and walls and in peoples general direction to scare them (never at people but.....)

Wel donr eminem and all at the film company for giving paintball what it really needs. A positive image and the idea to loads of little mindless Tw@ts who want to copy Eminem.

Ohh a starter tippman and away they will go.

I can see the news story now

"Another drive by painting leaving one motorist dead as visibility is reduced. Is it it time paintball was banned....."

Far too much hype.
