dont have any designated position just run walk towards the opposition in a line shooting at them, play ball civil war style it brings in a whole new concept...........honest
no hard and fast rules here.....its a bad idear to stick to 1 form. as liz said its how the field is set up. we played at the midland masters just gone and played always round.hell one game started with me as a back man[the 1 backman] then breaking to midfield, with 3 others and 1 front man..........oh yes,and it did work.
Personally, something like this....

2 and 3 shoot the crap outa everything
4 and 5 lock up and shoot cross field at anything they can.

We usually have 2 Back, 1 Mid and 2 front....
So you have 2 Back guys on each tape shooting down the lane....
Two front guys either at tape's or not far apart from the tape (1 each side obviously)
And if a Front player gets took out, The mid player is there to take over their position asap.....
