Well heres my question, My friend thinks that for our 5-man team we should have 1 back 2 mid and 2 front, I think we should have 2 back 1 mid and 2 front which do you prefer, or which is better ?:

you should get a font guy on either tape a guy not to far back from the tape guys in a good center bunker put a back/mid guy to give good cover then have 2 in the back. atleast thats what my team usually does in 2 flag 5 man

One at the back ain't a good idea - He's got no angles on anybody. I'd got for two, one playing on each side to give you more options. :)

We tend to play the classic 2 back, 1 mid & 2 front format like the spots on a dice. However, this does depend on how the field is set up & have been known to play a straight 3 back, 2 front or even a 2 back, 3 front format. I can't think of any fields I've played that has let us play only 1 back, even centre. You really need those big guys on the corners in 5-man.

Well..............

At the simply the best tournament we had 3 back and 2 forward. This provides ample cover for the forwards to push forward.

Walk the field that should tell you. Depends on the set up. You need at least a back guy on each side to look down the tapes and protect the font guys for neary every setup though.

Team set up.

We always, walk the field first, then try and decide where we are going.
You need to know which position each player plays. No good having 5 Back men, and trying to get them to run into the middle, behind a small bunker!
I try to lay my formation 3 on one side and 2 on other.
With the extra player trying to push forward.
So we have two Back, two front, and one middle player.
This should give more support to one side, and the other side only pushes if you go up on numbers.
Of course this never works, as, the game is fluid, and unpredictable. You have then got to rely on teamwork, Which is more important than where peolpe are.
