Just to clarify because this cylinder has a standard M25 300bar Din fitting it is classed as scuba (not land use) so will only carry a 2 ½ year test life. For it to be classed as land use only the valve must have an integrated dump valve screw, and presh gage incorporated into the m25 valve itself. (Only made by MDS, Midland Dive Services) Not a normal Din fill adapter like shown.

How do I know this? I test and clean cylinders for a dive shop.

Ask about the test date next time you get a fill in your local dive shop etc. ;)

Then why has the dive shop tested it, written 'surface use only' and issued me with a certificate that expires in 2011? Just curious Mr Knowitall :)

Not getting into an argument over it chap, just saying how it is…. I didn’t do a week’s course and 4 exams on the subject for nothing.

You will find out when it needs a fill in 2 ½ years..

End of discussion from me.

5 year test

Mr knowitall is obviously wrong as long as you've got surface use only on your bottle when you get it tested they will give you a 5 year certificate. was told that today when i took my bottle in for its re-test:)

No argument needed, I have seen the test certificate, seen the blue stamp for 2011 on the side and now passed on certificate with the bottle to the buyer. If Bull Man wishes to post up the details on the certificate perhaps Shades can ask his teacher or double check with his homework.

I don't need a weeks course and four exams to spot a jobsworth who works saturdays in the local fishing shop. :)

End of discussion from me :)
