Something worth bringing to peoples attention on contents Insurance,

If something is stolen from inside your home then you are cover for the maximum sum assured you policy provides, typically between £20k to 40k.

However if you leave your stuff in the garage or shed then cover is typically between £1.5k and 3k max. When you take into account what else could be in there and stolen at the same time, this is not a large amount.

(I have to keep reminding myself of this as its always tempting to just dump it all in the garage )

Keep expensive markers in the house is a must.
