Center flag is far better than dual-flag, and no flag.
I was really surprised that European PB has hung on to this archaic form so long. I could (at the time, anyway) understand why for 10-player woodland games, but NPPL from the beginning has had center flag for 5-player while dual for 10.
A medium-big, bright center flag is the way to go for the format I'm looking at. Peepz ain't gonna be able to see the back corner where a last player is still in the game.
But they WILL be able to see at a glance if the flag has been taken and they shouldn't have such a hard time figuring out where it is and which direction it's going.
If the buzzer or horn has sounded then everyone knows the game is over (pending a paintcheck).
As a player, eliminations alone is fine and what PB is all about: shooting people who are trying to shoot you. But center flag PB is fun as hell AND much more spectator-friendly.
Without a flag it is as interesting as Sunday practice: sometimes fascinating for the initiated.
