The nexus ego6 is exactly the same as the normal ego6 except different milling, nexus bolt, worse reg(as it is smaller and works at slightly higher pressure), 2 piece barrel and nexus software

You are basically paying for the milling. Though to be fair Planet are yet to confirm the price of it. But if it the same as the last one not sure how many takers there will be. It shouldn't be really as last year you got the STAR frame as well but that is stock now so who knows.

Do you really think Nexus pays for their own guns. The only difference is the milling, the bolt, their own settings and a worse reg. And if you think that is worth £250 then so be it but given you can buy the bolt for less than £50, you already have a better reg and you can fiddle with the settings for free, that means £200 or more on milling.

I can just as easily buy a stock ego6, buy a nexus or dart bolt and fiddle with the settings and it will fire just as well as a nexus one.

Besides which I said IF they charge the same difference as last year if the difference is much smaller to account for the lack of not having a different frame then it is much more reasonable.

But either way you pay alot for the different milling and Nexus on side.

I have a G4H Nexus and as Clint said.....super fast, one of the team rattled 40bps in training mode.

Works well straight out of ther box, no tweeks just air load and fire.....quality:D

Well to be fair we've seen it all before havent we with the factory cockers and the Nexus cockers.

More complex milling and very minor upgrades... still what ever your into, hardly the first time folk are happy to belt hundreds on top for a fancier custom of the original is it

john251282, you seem to assume a great deal of assumptions as fact. The 06 Nexus ego's haven't been unveiled in their final form so it's probably a bit early to slate them as a rip off.

You'd be surprised by the difference the milling makes to the production costs. Jack explained the process of building the 05 guns and admitted that what you are paying for is the milling. Although I'm not 100% on the exact figures due to the mists of time: The original Ego was milled with a single tool and only takes around 10mins or so in a C&C machine, whereas the 3d sculpturing of the Nexus and XSV requires smaller tooling and therefore takes upwards of an hour (again not sure of times). When companies are paying for C&C machines by the minute it all adds up. Less units produced in X amount of time means that they must be sold for a greater amount to make up costs.

Markers such as the Nexus and XSV are never about performance, it's all about exclusivity and bling. Lets be honest.... there's really not that much in performance between any of the top end markers.
