I know a lad who used his mums marmalade to lube his bolt, we suggested hater marmalade, he must have forgotten the hater part

Just hope he used the rindless variety
HA! Fail. Im pretty much a noob at paintball but even I would think twice about using marmalade or honey! Did they not realise that theyre sticky liquids??

Cat crap is the brand name for an anti fog (sold for motorbike visors). You can normally find it on ebay.....

However, for grillz, a good friend of mine SWEARS by Johnson's baby shampoo - just a light coating on the inside of the lens and he's never steamed up since. Grillz have an anti fog coating on the inside of the lens, but after a while this does wear off......soon as it starts wearing out on mine, i'm hitting the shampoo.

An interesting question is, what makes the coating disappear? Is it getting wiped away with the cloth? Or is it the plethora of chemicals people tend to apply to the lens to clean it? I've seen guys use Windex, water + dishwasher liquid, alcohol... I only use water on mine and immediately wipe it away with a microfiber and have had no problems until the day I loaned my gogs to a friend and he applied anti-fog to it. Have to use it now every time I want to use that lense.

I think its just a few months of wiping that removes the coating......My friend uses the baby shampoo for Diamond Wars where you're often out in the field for a couple of hours at a time in all conditions, and he has never steamed up. I've just had a new lens so don't want to start putting anything one there right off the bat, as the coating does work for a while.......As soon as they start fogging up though, I'm on it.

Ive got a mask that I use for recball only, and it always fogs! It had an anti fog coating on, and ive only ever applied water and/or a cloth, as I was told that the demisting solution the site had would get rid of the coating.

I was under the impression that Vforce lenses were sub-par BECAUSE they aren't dual pane...
What kind of incidence of fogging do you guys get, particularly in the woods?
My recball ones fog up a fair amount. I have to make sure I breathe downwards to try and avoid it. One of the maps we play is horrific for fogging as its in a bit of a valley and usually in the sun.

Hi

Many sites use washing up liquid solutions for demisting goggles.

Another way to stop lenses steaming up includes applying shaving cream, leave it on for a while then polish clear. I tried it on an old pair of Grillz and it worked !

Cat crap works well too.

Using water or a very mild washing up liquid / water solution are best for cleaning lenses.

Do not ' scrub ' a lens.
Do not submerge a dual pane lens.
Do not use harsh cleaners, Cillit Bang, etc on a lens.
