what hoppers can you get a quick feed on apart from a rotor
i really want a rotor with a quick feed but if theres a cheaper alterniative id prefer that at the mo

how do these hoppers compare to a rotor though?

Only used a reloader B2 out of the list, found it alot heavier, its a pain to strip and clean unless you've got a hybrid shell, but speed wise it was brilliant.

The Reloader B2 is heavier and harder to strip than the rotor

i have owned most hopper variations.

the thing is, there isnt much difference on performance.

what you need to look at is the following, do you want a rip drive, do you want anti jam, do you want tough shells

rip drives are very handy if you forget to change battery's, which means halo, reloader etc

anti jam, well the vlocity does this well

shell durability, this is where the rotor is head and shoulders above the rest. vlocity and halo's can be fragile.

another factor is ease to clean.

there is a shell for the halo and vlocity which enables this, and also gives better durability in the shell dept. it is called the verso, but, you might aswell get a rotor as it is included. also for the halo range there is a hybrid shell

the other option is the new kee hopper named the prophecy, but this is expensive, plus i cannot comment as i havent used it.

i currently own a hybrid reloader, 5 vlocity's and a rotor.

I normally use my rotor unless it is raining(no lid just speedfeed), if it is cold i use the vlocity with no tention on the stack.

as for speed feeds, virtue ones are excellent

it doesnt say it in the thread but I have got a black virtue crown speed feed that I could include, it does not have the locking ring but a small bit of tape and it would not fly off.

yeah virtue crown make speedfeeds for the popular style loaders. even at that its worth bearing in mind that other hoppers are compatible e.g. pinokio uses halo style speed feeds. so long as you dont go for something like a fasta, eggy etc. and go for a half decent loader (there are good loaders at every price range) you should find a speedfeed for it.

To be honest, as robof said, there isnt a huge amount of difference in feed rate between them. (certainly not the £50 or so pounds between the rotor and it's competitiors). HOWEVER, with the rotor you will be getting a hopper that is so simple and easy to use, i think my baby brother could use it (and i don't even have one ) Press the button to turn it on, press it again to turn it off. So simple and everything is automated...

In terms of maintainance (spelling?) to clean off the internals, all you would need to do is open up the lid, push a button in the top shell and push a catch in on the outside whilst you pull it off. Then just wipe. All of the fiddly internals are kept in the gearbox and so you won't need to take that apart to clean it as the gearbox is contained in a single piece unit and is shielded from the paintballs above by the tray. You can literally take it apart including the bottom shell and put it back together in 1 minute when you know how to.

I must admit i was sceptical before i bought one but these are the good bits about it i found:

No fiddly settings to mess with
Easy to take apart
No bits too small to go missing
Dye customer service is pretty good
Anti-jam button in the case of a jam (unlikely, i put 3 boxes through mine so far and not a single jam)
Quiet
Long battery life
High feed rate
Upgradability
(i could go on )


In terms of speed feeds though, try to avoid dye's proper one. There are some real mixed reviews about them but exalt do one and so do virtue i believe.
