Liam do you mean like filltering them? if so there might be an attachment to make up for such a problem but i suspect that Mr. Kaye would have taken that into account when deisigning this product

It looks like from reading the FAQ that it takes the output from a 85psi compressor (for blowing up car tires or spray guns) and uses that as it's input to build up to 4500psi

Checkout the FAQs in the link Bolter posted. I think all filtering is optional and would be applied between "shop air" and the mini compressor. No specific guidelines though. Depends how good the filtering on the first compressor is I guess.

Looks like it has a big electric motor geared down with sprockets and chain. It's stated in post #1 "This compressor is designed to be used alongside a basic conventional compressor" What does this mean, and how will mini-unit be set up to fill a dive tank?

You start with the air from the conventional compressor, at maybe 75 PSI then you squish it and squish it with this machine until its 4000psi.
If you compress the air your starting with, then you put more air in to the same volume of compression chamber initially. Which means you get a higher flow rate.

Thats my guess anyway.

I see a lot of potential for this product, might not be in the paintball market though. People who like to scuba dive and live in remote areas without ready access to a decent supply of compressed air will be all over it provided TK does the right marketing.

so £3+ for a scuba fill in minutes or you buy this compressor which attaches to another compressor to get free fills over night.

tough decisions, but the remote scuba diving, does come into remote paintballing or just gun teching. he said it wasn't as loud as a sewing machine which means it can definitely be used inside a house which is good.... i suppose only time shall tell if it does what it does, well

Well he's currently running a thread on AO asking for name suggestions. He doesn't want it to be a paintball related name, so I guess he has ideas for other uses. Wouldnt surprise me at all.
