I remember that people started copying his gear, and he wasn't too happy about that.
And for the younger readers, a "pot vest" wasn't something you put your weed in.
I got into paintball in 1990, and I think that was just about when Keith's pot vests were at the height of their popularity - everyone from the 'Nam to the Timers to Preds wore them, and I had one myself.

Blimey, I didn't realise you had been in the sport that long, and you are right re the vests, we [NWC] used to wear his vest coz he sponsored us.
He's an amazing guy when you think about it; I spoke to him a few years back when he was still in prison in Kandahar and he didn't seem to be all that bothered but he was asking me for a favour that I couldn't possibly accommodate and so I had to decline his generous offer
You could write a book about this guy, but the problem is, untangling truth from fiction.
He says he has killed many people and I know that to be true but his involvement in Afghanistan was as a renegade fighter and not there officially ... well, according to Keith he was there for the US Government but they denied any connection whatsoever, problem being, the US would say that bearing in mind what he was up to ...... he's an an interesting and frightening guy.

I could tell you sooooooo much more but I doubt you would believe me ... it stretches the most open minded of people I can tell ya.
He has told me of some of his escapades and it made me feel uneasy being in his presence to tell you the truth; I was never really frightened of him coz he wasn't physically intimidating but I always knew he was a psychopath that would take someone's life in a heartbeat.
All he needed was the cause and he found that in Afghanistan it seems ..... hmmmm ....
