yes and no. am saying right now is a financial crisis. altho about over. therfore dropping prices to keep with trent will keep players who now have less income playing. and altho as you point out this `MIGHT make less profit. in the long run it keeps customers.

lets put it like this. a customer comes to me and says id like product x but cant afford it all just now.
i knock of 20% and there happy. next year they come and because product x was given to them when they needed it a price they could afford there back and paying full price and recomending friends to me.

ill often reduce my comission to get a client. clients in my work tend to be for life.

i see what your syaing about where the extra business comes from. and yes sum will from there. but hopefully reduced prices can get new people in the door also. who might then try the compition.

its bed time. think ill agree to disagree. dont like continuing an argument into a new day, brings bad karma lol.

Who's Trent?

and dropping your prices if your costs stay the same MIGHT make less profit? Doesn't it guarantee less profit?

...or they save an extra week, and come back when they can afford it. Maybe at the end of the day you give them an extra 100 balls. A lesser value to you than to them, and they will appreciate it far more.

strange, irrelevant parallel, but I believe you 100%

I say again, the fields are the only area of the industry that is experiencing plateau and even growth. They generally put out a good product, for a fair price. People enjoy playing. I don't see there's anything missing that can be solved by lowering prices, at any level.

You believe in 'bad karma', but not in the definition of 'profit' lol

I'll give you this DJ, you don't ever give up do you?
I don't think we could continue this any longer anyway. Have a good night!

OK, even I now think, 'enough is enough' with poor ole DJ seemingly unable to take advice or to stop digging a hole that will quite soon enable direct 'thru routes' to Oz ...

DJ, you are banned from engaging Missy anymore; Missy, much as I am loathed to place a creative manacle upon your crushing responses, I have to call an end to the slaughter, sorry mate but open season on DJ has been called mate.

Please adhere to my decision guys and I thank you both for doing so.

PS DJ, and this ban applies to engaging in debate with Buddha too .... oh yeah, and me also :)

Well, to be honest I did enjoy the debate I had with him a while back and as soon as he knew where I was coming from and what I brought to the table, he held up his hand and admitted I probably was right. So no harm done at all. :)
No harm here either, although I didn't enjoy my 'debate' as much as I enjoyed yours. I must be getting soft...

Now the dust has setted, would anyone care to comment on post #27?

Reasonable idea, or am I talking out of my ass again?

:)
