It's actually a terribly miserable tale of betrayal DS ..... I wish it had been different, I really do .. but I'm afraid he was the architect of his own decisions and deceptions; he now has to face the consequences of his [in]actions .... such is life ....
I knew that you didn't own Nexus anymore Pete but I wasn't truly aware of how it all went down as I haven't played or been around for ages.
I have to say it really is quite disgusting, I always saw you guys as a family and when we trained with lot you always seemed so tight!
For it to end like this is quite sad, especially for the sheer amount of money and commitment from both you and the sponsors!

I ended up selling the team to a friend of mine [Dave Youngblood] and he has gone on to consolidate the team in Europe's hierarchy.
Nexus are without doubt, the UK's finest team and just as certainly, one of Europe's best.
Some of the players you may remember are still there, the likes of Tommy Pemberton, Dunny and Lee Digard; these guys have gone on to mature as players and they have another guy in their midst called Jason Wheeler who looks as though he is gonna be a great player if he is coached correctly.
I think Jason is well aware he will be unable to get that quality of coaching in the present situation and so we can only hope things change for the better in that respect.
As you said, we were at one time like a family and extremely tight but all good things come to an end ... I was certainly responsible for neglecting the team but even that doesn't deserve what abbott did ... it just didn't.
Fair enough, I don't think it was ever in question that Nexus where/are the best team in the UK and its good to see Tommy and co still doing well. The guys I remember from the (old nexus) where always very committed and deserve success.
At the end of the day, home life does take precedence, IMO paintball is great fun but not worth it if things are been neglected at home, sounds like a win less situation mate

I realise its Christmas day and all that but while the wife's doing her bit in the kitchen turning perfectly good potatoes into titanium-lined cannonballs, I thought I would see how the site's ticking over.

Anyway, as I checked this thread out, it reminded of something I was told about abbott during this latest chapter from the debacle that is ..... 'abbott, my life of crime, grime and slime' ....
When he recently got in touch with Surrey police in an attempt to shut me up, two CID officers went to his place of work on two occasions to interview him ..... can you imagine just how much money that cost, not to mention the distraction from much more serious cases it caused?
Problem is, once abbott made the complaint, something's gotta be done about it, in fact, I think I remember the first few lines of the complaint he made in his official statement, I think it went something like, 'Awwwww, this big horrible, nasty man is picking on me, please make him stop'.
Well, it might not be verbatim but it must have gone something like that I'm sure ...
The point of this post is, to further plumb the depths of just how low abbott can go in an attempt to prevent the truth getting out there ... or rather me, exacting my pound of flesh.
And you better get used to all this scumbag, coz there's plenty more to come .......oh and one more thing scumbag, here's a nice little thought for you to carry through the rest of the day and remainder of this festive period, a wise man once observed, 'Pride goeth before a fall' ..... you have fallen over many, many times since this started, you might choose to interpret this series of embarrassing disasters as persistence, when in fact, it smacks more of stupidity and cowardice ... when you've finally worked out what I am hinting at here [and even someone as congenitally ungifted as you could work that out] well, when you do, you can also realise, the right thing to do is a bus lonnnnng since gone .... now, there's a nice thought for you.
