Paul, is there not one molecule of mercy simmering below the surface of your interview technique?

I mean, you already know the traps you can set and the process was painful to watch as each latch clicked sequentially around him.

However, you might need to dumb down the conclusions a little if you are to succeed in your goal of corralling opinion over to your neck of the woods ... I am interested to see how it comes out in the wash mate ... should be fun :)

Whatever do you mean, Pete? Mr. Baldwin practically demanded the right to set the record straight, as it were, and I merely acquiesced. I even went so far as to suggest during the process that he might want to reconsider an answer or two. So yes, there is a molecule of mercy in me. But only the one.

As to goals I'm under no illusions. I would welcome a level playing field but as the average Euroballer goes "baa" and the average American baller goes, "huh?" I am resigned to letting the forces of nature take their course. In the meantime I'm making the best of it and having a bit of fun.

PS--good luck with the upcoming P8ntballer face lift et al.

Paul, you are as long in the tooth as myself, the whole idea of level playing fields is a fantasy, and what's worse, 'tis a fantasy of the youth.

The reluctance, nay, bone-ass indifference of the average baller both sides of the Atlantic is not only legendary, it's downright expected.
And ya know what?
I wish it were the forces of nature that gnawed the bones of our industry but that opportunity is enjoyed by a select few individuals, who at times, emulate abject insanity as they go about their business, our business, our industry and our sport.

And I think you underestimate what 'lone voices' such as yourself can do mate, they may be lone in construction but not in readership or effect.

I realise you author your dead box views but don't write yourself off so readily Paul, the ripples go far .. and sometimes they go deep, and sometimes, just sometimes, Goliath gets one in the eye.

Thanks for the 'good luck' wish anyway ... cheers!

Even the high and mighty aren't exempt from the forces of nature. Unfortunately we, the base and lowly, aren't exempt from the consequences either. :)

Thanks, Syd

Jay--And hard to miss--even without my bifocals
