spend money on a new ego 08 barrel?

in two minds whether to spend some cash on getting myself a new barrel system for my ego , iv never really seen a problem but that's not saying i wont see an improvement.
iv looked at sly and freak systems and they just seem well over my budget.

im actually not sure what the bore is on the ego default but im sure its not its most efficient.

Not sure myself on std bore of the ego barrels but I've used a freak system on my etek on and off for the past 18 months no problems at all, I currently use an empire twister barrel which also gives me no probelms.

yeh , im just looking for improvement really , if nothing will improve the standard barrel i wont bother , but if changing bore size or barrel type will help group of shots or air usage then i may be convinced.

standard bore on an ego is 693
if a freak or sly kit out of your budget, have a look at a unitec kit, great value for money, new or 2nd hand

I think the unitec use a number of backs with varying bores (one piece) whereas the freak back uses inserts to control bore size (effectively a two piece back) both then have a standard front.

the fact that the unitec is basically a whole barrel of one bore, instead of the 2 piece back a front being different bores, does that as much of a difference as id think ??
one size all the way down the barrel makes me think it wouldn't allow any compressed air to escape before it should.....leading to a more accurate shot?
