Hey guys, looking for some decent input. just been told i can get the lease on a piece of land i wanted to open a site in scotland. Ive got a fair idea of the type of zones i want to have on the site as i have been doin a good bit of research and looking at other sites but i want to know what proper paintballers look for or want to see at a site.

What kind of zones appeal to good players and what would make players and public want to play again and again.

i have a good team of guys that know there paintball but i wanted a broader opinion!! the site is a 10acre stubble field with woods on the outside. plenty room for what i want.

any suggestions or tips would be greatly recieved!!!!

Most punters will want a 'war' type field in the forest.
Whereas people who play a lot usually prefer sup air on the bouncy castle pitches :p

S'pose you could have a woodsball and sup air pitch.

Yeah I would love to do sup air but the place i usually go to is woods.

And with both you get all types of customers :)

it would depend on where in scotland the site would be and what sites are already near to you and what they offer.

i would suggest looking at those sites and deciding what you could do on your site to improve the paintball experience and to build better than your opposition, but ensure you have planning permission change of use on the land before you start, look at the type of marker to be used and air

hope this helps

What's hyperball??
Hyperball is black, ribbed plastic tubing bunkers of differing lengths and sizes. Pretty expensive to buy, pretty expensive to ship/transport and you have to half bury them in the ground, which takes a while to do.

Hyperball was the type of speedball that ran in tournies before sup-air was introduced. Made a wicked sound when 12bps hits the bunker you are behind :)

for help setting up a site talk to steve bull at the ukpsf he will help.
he runs sites aswell as doing the ukpsf so can help you loads.
punters want woodland fields regular players want a mixture of both sup-air and woodland.
but go for the punters first these are the guys tht make you the big bucks and keep your site going,
then think of the regular walkon players:)
