Some marker advice please people

Alright guys

Im in a bit of a quandry about where to go with my marker selection.

A little bit of background, ive got a stock SP-1 and a tricked out tippy X7 as backup.

My quandry is do i get an Etek or trick out my SP-1, the Etek's look really nice and shoot ropes as stock but from what ive read Gommie can work magic with the SP-1's and with the blackheart it will outfire my hopper and it sounds like it can get to as low as 50psi!!

Ive been thinking about this for ages and cant seem to come to a decision, help me work out my mixed up brain!

Even if by using an aftermarket tail-less bolt a QEV, aftermarket 'can and doughnut you did manage to get the operating pressure that low you would be suffering severe shoot down when firing faster than 2 or 3 bps.

I had one running sweet at around 95-105 psi depending on the temp a few years back and that was about as far as it would go.

it depends what you want the gun for really and what are you looking for out of a gun. What are your priorities in this new gun? Major bps-most guns can hit 30bps although this will cost you a lot in paint and does take some fun and skill out of playing. Or do you want a smooth shooting gun with very little kick? Or a gun with very good efficiency. List down your 3 top priorities and people can help from there.

Some good points well made here i think,

In a gun im looking for reliability, efficiency and a degree of speed (i only have an Invert Too) so i know im not going to be able to shoot loads of paint).

Being easy to maintain the marker is desireable, i loved taking my A5 apart and cleaning it but it just got a bit tedious.

A marker without alot of kick would be good to keep accuracy as high as possible

To be honest looks like by your requirements you just sold yourself the ETEK

As Kitty said the Etek sounds perfect. Easy as pie to take apart and maintain, one of the most reliable guns, efficiency is good enough for a long game in the woods or a sup air game and it will easily shoot fast enough to keep people pinned in.

Get one with a zick kit as this minimises the kick (although ive never found it to be huge anyway)

Its starting to become a landslide in favour of the Etek just hope some of the guys who have PM'd/emailed me about it come through
