while i were reading about the tragic event in Berlin yesterday, it suddenly hit me.
In germany there is a law stating that no paintball projectile may have an impact force of more than 7.5 joule. When using the regular .68 balls, the max possible fps is around 214 fps in order to stay below the max impact force. If we were to use .50cal balls at 1,3 grams a ball instead of .68cal at 3.2g/ball it would lower the impact force drastically. In turn it'll be possible to raise abowe the low limit of 214 to 450fps (if i did my math correct), more than enough to let anyone play ball legaly.
