So as usual we might be again the last to hear anything official from MS.

Oh! And last but not least, L. Hamet let us know that the Millennium Series could feature both of caliber on his fields in the upcoming season.
Hopefully if there are some major changes comming up we the players will be this time informed in time but you never know with MS. IMO its not good thing when you have one of the MS representatives giving some comments before MS makes any kind of official statement. Races just up questions and ifs and buts on what might or might not change again with MS. Will the field sizes change again, rof, fps, some goggles get banned?

Our own thoughts http://www.cyclone.ax/2009/11/50-cal-on-millennium-fields-in-2010/#more-544

I guess my question is this:

If the PSP are not going to 50cal, because data has not been provided to them that all safety considerations have been addressed. then one of 3 things is happening...

1. The 50 cal guys have provided all sufficient safety data top the MS, and thats why they are allowing it. In which case, why would they not simply provide the PSP with this same data?

2. The PSP have been sent sufficient safety data, but claim that they haven't and won't allow 50cal anyway, because the PSP guys hate 50cal.

3. For some reason the MS have allowed 50cal without the appropriate safety data to ensure the well-being of their customers.

Missy, if the call from the PSP was made without any other influences being brought to bear, then I'd be extremely surprised mate.

You know full well who the personalities involved are and maybe why some of them wouldn't want 50 cal green-lighted.

Now maybe safety is an issue but I tell ya something mate, politics is involved somewhere; the only question remaining is, how much politics was involved, and I'm afraid, only a few people are privy to that sort of information.

I see what you're saying, but if i wanted to 'play devils advocate', I would flip that, and say perhaps influences were brought to bear with the MS, to have 50cal allowed, and that's where the politics are grinding their gears.

I have pretty-much worked out where the line in the sand is, and who's standing on which side of said line. Influences are being applied on both sides.

I ain't gonna rebut any of what you just said there mate and I fully accept the wandering nature of that line .... seemingly solely dependent upon who wants to draw it.
I think the 'influences' being bought to bear negatively in the PSP are matched in significance by the opposite on this side of the water ....

Has the final fill been released yet? Seems like you can't make a determination with regards to safety until you actually know what you're making a determination about.
