cant get hybrid ram cap of ego 05

can someone help me please i cant seen to get the hybrid ram cover off my ego 05 iv not had it off as i bought it with the ram cover on. there is an alan wrench screw in the ram cover but as i unscrew it it gets a bit tight and i am scared of over turning it.

i have lubed up both my other markers and just want to do this one

It sounds obvious but are you turning it the right way? If it were me I'd put a bit of heat into the body around it and it should come straight out. If you know anyone with oxy acetylene it might be worth asking them. Might damage the anno though.

cut a groove across the back, then you can put a long hex key on it and get some force behind it

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!

Don't turn the brass screw. That isn't how you get them off. Grab hold of the outside of the ram cap where the dimples are and just unscrew it.

And if happens to be blue and screwed into my one off anno, XSV Ego 05...be gentle.

And after that and you have it all back together, you need to re adjust the bolt position.

Look down the feedneck, with the gun cocked. Now adjust the brass screw so that only the slightest sliver of bolt is visible in the feed neck.

You don't need an adjustable ram cap on an Ego because unliek Timmys, they are made right in the first place. I only put one of mine for tool-less removal and I liked the way it looked.
