HeyHey,

Recently took apart my Hyper3 to clean it. As I should, I screwed the velocity screw all the way in. I don't own a chronograph, so I was wondering if you think I should wait until I get to a chrono to back it out, or just do it and hope that I don't crank it up too high and blow something?

Cheers,
Sam :)

No. Just wait till you get to a chrono mate. Its the best way for you.

Glenn is right, about 3.5 turns. You could do say 3 turns to be on the safe side then chrono when you get to the field. What marker is it on, I assume all Hyper 3 reg's will adjust the same way but may be worth reading the manual for your marker

Quote from DM9 manual: " The Hyper3™ regulator is adjusted in the same manner as the LPR (outlined on page 23). With the seat retainer screwed completely in the Hyper3™ will be set to 20 psi. Each 180 degree turn counterclockwise will increase the pressure between 15 and 20 psi. The stock setting is 145 psi (about 3.5 complete 360 degree turns out), which should result in the DM9 shooting velocities of about 285fps. "
