Sadly i dont think this will have an effect on next year, Turkey is still one of the proposed 2010 venues
Well i dont think it will be a problem if we actually knew about it at the start of the year and not at the 3rd event, we for sure would of been there, we dont like to pay out that amount of money for a year and only go to 4 events.

No Show List!

*EDIT* having seen the list above I have edited mine, realising I left Spartans off, however I think Mortifleurs are playing, having gained match points, I was compiling mine while the other one was posted.

Based on teams that haven't scored a single point in prelims.

CPL

Full Division of 16

SPL

Group A
Vienna United
Group B
Influence Montpellier
Group C
Paris B4
Group E
Brussels Crossfire
Group F
Sucy PAC Ultimate
Group G
Notorious London
Hellwood Paris

7 no shows from 28 teams (in a division that should have 32!) I have included Notorious as they are still included in the draws.

Obviously, the remaining teams in Group G (Camp Carnage and Reckless) have had a day of rest, having only played once in the prelims.

Div 1

Group A
Azimut Portimao
Manchester Firm
Group B
Stockholm Ignition 2
Group C
Electrons Dijon
Scalp ME Saulx les Chartreux
Group D
Arena Effects Besancon
Group E
Spartans Athens
Group F
Sus Scrofa Toulouse
Acyd Paris
Amsterdam Xistence 2

10 no shows from a potential 27 (a locked Div that had 35 last year). 24 scheduled to play, so 3 teams reffing - DOW Warberg, Mallorca Madness & Johannesburg Dynamix

As above, the teams in Groups A and C have only played once, while Helsinki Cyclone in Group F make Sunday just by turning up and with out having to shoot anyone to do so.

With the top placed reffing team currently ranked 14th (after CC) they have nothing to gain in terms of promotion, only the chance to retain their place without the potential for a fine.

Scalp however, as a no show, will almost certainly loose their place in the promotion to SPL zone (making reffng in Paris fairly pointless - as was Acyd).

I could of course be wrong having based the no shows on the scores, one or more teams could have just had their arses handed to them on a plate!

On the rumour front, I have heard that there may only be one locked division next year, from a fairly reliable source. Other wise it would appear situation normal, the Millennium have already made their money out of this event and have the potential to make more from fines for 17 teams, why would they drop this venue if it is offered to them again next year?

While there is no viable alternative, and the same teams pay the same organisers the situation will stay much as it is.

By the way, I am not the only member of the Millennium's media circus to be missing this event. While I have personal reasons not to be there many have stayed away due to the expense, time and logistical challenges involved with this venue.
