Firstly i would like to apologise to the player that I lost my cool with at the end of Sunday! I am sorry x it is never professional and believe me I don't make a habit of it, please accept my sincere apology x

Secondly, as for the refs getting so much grief I think were used to it and that in itself is ironic. Believe me we really don't do it for the money!!! it rarely covers our costs and on this occasion really didnt!!! Thank you to the players who as a whole were a pleasure to ref! I ref for the love of the sport and will always hold my hands up that we are never perfect, we do our very best with what we have, well I know I always try.

This for me personally was a weekend from hell, as my tent went up in flames friday night with my daughter inside!!!!!!!!!! thanks to the lady who helped to put it out and pid etc for giving us somewhere to stay friday night xx it was very much appreciated. Thanks to the players who appreciated us being there but Pete to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement.

We are there to enforce the rules, end of!!!! at the end of the day us as players don't need to know the rules as such we know what were not allowed to do, so either don't do it, don't get caught and if you do don't bitch.

And as for "do you know the millenium rules?" would you treat the refs etc like that there??? me thinks not!!!!!!!!

As for all of that was it was great to see some old faces and good friends xxx love you all.

Sue

How about you ref. And i promise you, when you do i will personally shoot the **** outta you.
2 refs had shields. 1 came on from the M5 field to help out and the other was me, both of which were used on the last 2 games of the day. After getting drilled all weekend. And just to stomp your pathetic excuse of an idea into the ground, the shields actually protected a couple of players when in the snake and asked for a call
1) I've reffed with jamie, He's a good marshall...

2) what i've highlighted in bold.. Thats why you DONT use a shield.

Did you call that player neutral? if not then you have just interfered with the game play, and protected a live player from a shot that could well of eliminated him.

I did not play the event, neither do I have any gripes with anything that went on up there. What I can say is that from reading this thread, I have been less than impressed with the way that the ''feds'' have dealt with feedback.

I awaited this thread to see praise, like the black pool event, but all I've seen is bitching... More than enough done by the feds.

I've seen people make well structured posts and been torn apart for no reason other than people didnt agree with it. Enough to put me off going next year.

yup

OK these are my views and mine only,
Ive played most places
World Cup 3 times, Huntingdon Beach, Paris, Belgium Ive tried them all, reffing at World Cup awesome, reffing at Paris terrible. Reffing at Campaign spot on.
Federation reffing field 2 not a problem all day
Fielf 1 X ball I had a mare of a day, must of got 1 4 1d a couple of times, fair, yes bloody fair I derserved what I got and didnt complain.
If you want better reffing do it yourselves, I hate hypocrits who moan but if you gave it to them theyd be crap. Guys you earned every penny you got paid. If it wasnt for you there would be no games, so on my part a pat on the back for refs on both fields.
Trade stands spot on, they supported the event.
Fields, what the heck do you want, okay there was a dip in the middle but deal with it and play, people complained about the sun in there eyes, we went out and won from this side, just deal with it.
Food awesome the Mlllenium could learn alot from this.
Wendy and her crew what can be said, she worked like hell to make this event, I left at 7.00pm and shed just packed up, some of you were home by then.,
As for long journies I had a 5 hour solid drive and did not rush off, as said it was 7.00pm before I left.
I think this is what the UK needed, but if we keep knocking we will kill this game by ourselves.
Moaning on here and slaging of people who are trying to promote the Event is surely not whats needed.
LETS GIVE THESE GUYS A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR DOING WHAT NO ONE ELSE HAS MANAGED
WELL DONE
Mr Bling
Well said!!

one thing you are all forgetting is that we NEED the refs, they dont have to do this they do it for US, because they CARE and because they want to make every event we play happen and we cant winge about that

my team and other teams such as hazard were absolutely infuriated with calls, my game in the final I nearly lost it completely but NEVER would I insult or even oppose a ref call mid game especially not on a forum b*tching rather than to his face if I had a problem I would talk to the ref after and RESPECT his position and that he aint a robot who sees everything.

but hey, these refs are here for pure dedication to helping us, its like the government sure we kinda hate the goverment but if we overthrow it and lived without order then well it would be sh*t, these refs as one ref said earlier get no finaincal profit out for this , they pay similiar fees the players do and they dont get to play! they ref!

I didnt like the reffing but I couldnt do better and they dont have to do it, its shame you couldnt all empahpize and now weve lost some dedicated refs who spent a weekend of their OWN time making the fed cup playable. dang!

as i didn,t go to this event due to work on site, but reading the posts sent in i can only say i make know wonder that tournament paintball is failing.the attitude of players is getting worse especially with the so called pro teams, who the hell do they think they are, should the paintball industry give a sh*t about them as they generate very little business, maybe the feds which consists of alot of guys that are in the paintball industry should concentrate on the scenario and woodland side of paintball which is expanding, these guys spend double what a tournie player does and they don,t ask for freebies, what example are we setting too new teams, that being an arse is ok,we hope to be recognised as a sport but if we cannot behave in a proper manor what chance have we.the refs i have been on their side of the field with some of the best refs in the country ( uk refs) unfortunately these guys where flying out to the states on sunday so could not attend, but i believe that the guys that reffed did their utmost to be far and unbiased, maybe some off these guys where abit green but you all have to start somewhere and the bitching and moaning is not going to bring more refs and more experianced ones into the game as they are all going to say balls to this.ROBBO what more can be said the guy is passionate about paintball and if somebody takes the piss then he is going to kick thier ass, maybe not always in the right way but atleast you guys know he cares and same for the rest of the feds.so maybe us the players need too look at ourselves and say do we deserve what these guys are trying too do for us and maybe we should change our attitudes, yes we are thier customers but should they put up with arrogant players.so in full should the feds implement a respect campaign where players have to act in a certain manor but have a person to hand thier complaints in on the day that can be acted on at future events
