If you could post up more info as to
what air system you are using, HP or LP
has the problem only just occured after you started tried to tune your marker, has the marker had problems in the past.

If this is problem has occured after you started messing with the settings and pressure, explain step by step what you have done.

The pressures stated in the Settings guide applied to the original A1 (revision 2) internals; with the Fly magno internals the pressures needed may be somewhat lower. Try removing one shim from the LPR (but check after this that it still shoots without dropoff at high ROF) and adjust the minireg to get the right velocity.

Minireg 200 psi, LPR 55-57 psi and Dwell 6.5 ms

These are the correct settings for Flys and A1s with the magno ram and valve upgrades. set the Minireg first to 200psi, then set the LPR based on that minireg pressure. once these are set adjust the minireg to get the correct velocity over the chrono and you're set.

The pressures you have set to are for the Angel A1 (pre Fly) with Gen 2 internals, thats why your velocity is too high.
Hope that helps

Drop off and settings

Drop off occurs when the mini reg and expansion chambers cant refill quickly enough to the neccesary pressure to fire the paintball at a consitent velocity, so if you had a string going you would see paint start to fall shorter and shorter.

More than happy to help or advise with any A1/Fly problems...currently have 16 flys to fix so am seeing pretty much every screw up, fault or tampering out there..

Need you to answer a few questions though.

First thing to look at with a Fly or A1 with magno internals is the output of your air system. Is it a high pressure system as generally used for Ego's, etc with an output of around 850 - 900 psi or have you bought a low pressure system 450 - 500 psi system to work with the Angel? Brand of air system would also be helpful.

This makes a Huge difference and is most likely the source of the problem.

You would generally adjust velocoty by adjusting the allen bolt on the mini reg at the front, very rarely should you need to do anything else. If the marker has been fine and then suddenly jumps up in velocity or drops off it normally indicates a problem.

How many cases of paint roughly have you fired through the marker? After approx 5 or 6 cases I would generally advise getting some pressure checks done by someone who really knows Angels or buying yourself a full set of gauges. Reason for this is that once the ram "beds in" you can generally drop the LPR pressure..

I have also been dropping the dwell to 5.5 without any issues once the markers are bedded in.

You want to ask anything specific feel free to either post or pm on here (dont check this place that much) or email ollynorth @ googlemail .com (taking out the spaces) more than happy to help OR drop John at LIPS an email http://www.lpspaintball.biz/ Johns forgotten more than most "techs" will ever know. Just let him know you been speaking to olly from Delta please.

An LP Reg can be used on any marker as long as the mini reg is set up for it.

The A1 works like a dream on low pressure but can be set up to work on a high pressure reg. You certainly shouldnt be plugging a HP reg into an A1 or Fly withouth making sure you have either told LIPS about the fact that you want to run it on HP or you know what your doing.

My advice low pressure CP Reg (probably the best reg on the market imho) and you can get CP to flip it back to HP should you ever want to switch back to another marker.

You gotta see or try a Magno A1 or Fly on a good LP Reg set up properly :) a thing of beuty
