The difference is the standard of competition
Most of the standard teams cannot compete at that level but we still need to have an international event on these shores so as to cater for the team that are at that level or what to challenge themselves against foreign opposition.
Good point boss. Could some Euro teams not make the trip here once a month if the event was up to scratch? The more teams shun the Mills, the more they might (i use that loosely) take notice. Again it'll be cheaper for them too i imagine.
I know they won't have the same high level per say but surely if it was like a locked league, or y'know, all the top teams and mills playing teams in 1 league there's still the competition?

Why should we expect them to spend a fortune to come over here for regular competitions when they have there own domestic leagues to play in. Remember they have more top level teams than we have so sadly it benefits our teams to go to them not vice versa

It's not even so much standard of the competition as scale.
Up until now, the best/most populated UK event isn't even a pale facsimile of a Millennium event.

You get a sense of occasion at Millenniums, and I'm afraid that has long been missing at any UK event.
For some people, those who have hardly been out their own back yard, a few domestic events may have flattered to deceive but the reality is, no matter how bad the Millenniums are, our domestic events thus far haven't even come close .... and that's why we are in this position and that's why we now have the Federation ....

You have a good point on the space needed to transport/store the inflatable fields, however, I suspect they are a lot more easy to set up than the steel posts and netting.

As for visibility, interestingly, I heard more coaches complaining of a poor view up the field on the CPL field than at events where the inflatable fields were used.
Yeah youre right, the pole system is undoubtebly harder to set up, but on most occasions (bitburg08 being the big exception) it stays up.

I dont see how the castles would be better from a coaching point of view. What did they specifically say?

Atleast they dont need to be scared of loosing an eye with the poles. Ive seen a lot of big ruptures in the attachment of the net at the poles, with that velcrosystem-kajigger.

Robbo, I take it you're expecting a very short sentence, ending with the word "yourself"?
Actually no, Paula wouldn't be so rude as to do that.
The response will say all the right things in the right places but as a wise man once said, 'actions speak louder than words' ....

And don't forget here, it's no use whatsoever shooting the messenger (Paula) here, I'm afraid she may well be the person who replies in writing but the words are coming from elsewhere.
