Thanks, my marker is mechanical... It is semi auto, nothing else. I've totally cleaned every single part of the marker. I'm thinking about just sending it back and getting something different.

Thanks for your help :)
Ok the rapid firing intimated that it was electro...if it's ripping off then it's definately a c02 supply issue,as with site tippmans when the c02 gets low they rip off for some reason.
I'm sure someone else can tell you why.

Got this from PB review;-Purchased this marker as a replacement for the Brass Eagle T-Storm I had. Decided to get this one over the Spyder MR1 b/c you get the extra pieces with it like the mask, hopper, and squeegie. I have used it in games and have had very little problems with it. Only issue I have had was when i had the air screwed in and had it on its side it wanted to shoot funky. Unscrewed the air and dry shot it a few times and that took care of the problem. Did not chop paint at all that day till I used some older paint I had.

Try changing the oring on the striker, most likely its worn, not sealing enough to push the striker fully back into the cocking position. Make sure you clean out marker before you place striker back in.
