I pretty sure I know the issue but I'd like confirmation.....
I fitted a 15' FRM on my o5,lube all the parts as required and put it back together;but it began to leak from the noid and wouldn't fire.
If I covered up what I presume is an exhaust at the back of the noid and it fired.
I then got an old noid out and was able to get it to work without leaking, the issue with this noid is that it has the "overtighten the screws syndrome" and is heavily dented.
Over the chrono it struggled to reach 230fps;I adjusted the reg and the front reg to no real avail;I got it to a sufficient fps 250 but the reg at its max adjustment, left it there and used it all day.
When I did fire it the first ball would drop out,the scond hit anywhere around 240,the next 280,and from then on varied from 240-->300.
My question (at last) is would the noid cause these issues?
Is there anything else needed when fitting a 15' FRM,I presume not.
All the washers, springs and 0-rings are in the correct places.
Just trying to cover all the questions you might ask, thanks.

One thing I'd check is the lpr body (not piston) orings. Relube/replace them (I think it might only be one oring on the 05, can't remember). A leaky lpr body can over pressurise the noid -> leaking noid and velocity issues. All noid issues give velocity issues, but a dead giveaway of the lpr issue is that the bolt is really hard to push forwards when pressurised. I usually attribute low velocity issues to battery issues (which cause noid problems), so try that as well. Let me know how it works out.

Cheers,I tried the the obvious with the battery.
No obvious leaks, rechecked the stack etc all ok...
I'll check the bolt in the morning.

Yeah, the problem never comes from where you're expecting it to lol. Any time I hear a leak from an ego noid the first thing I do is replace the lpr body orings. Failing that, you may be right about the screws damaging the noid.

Had a similar problem (with the first shot and low FPS) once before turned out to be a leak from the rear QEV, removed it and then fitted again with some loctite, problem sorted. worth checking out by airing up in a very quiet room, remove the bolt and listen closely.

Tried what you've suggested, replaced the Lpr body 0-ring and put the original 'noid back in...still leaking from the little hole at the back,definately...
I took the 'noid apart and lubed it,but it looks like the 'noid is the issue...the good news is the price drop at Planet...:D
Anything else to try or is it reasonable to presume it is the 'noid now....I guess it's creamed but why does it leak from there?

Reset the hpr to stock (5 turns out I think) in case you overpressurised the noid while trying to sort your velocity issues out (which you could probably fix by upping your dwell a notch or two btw). The little hole on the noid acts as a dump valve so I doubt it's a leak. I think it's a leak elsewhere in the LPR as that's usually where high pressure air leaks into the low pressure system causing noid leaks. Other than that, I'd have to have a play around, but that's all I can really think of for now. Try resetting the lpr to stock as well (flush with the end of the cap). THEN, if all fails send it to planet.

I can't really send it to Planet as it has a Tadao board in it.
I t was set as advised in the manual, flush and 2 full revolutions in which should equate to 300-320 fps.
I'm not sure how long the noids been leaking,it could've been for quite a while just not noticed by the user,I noticed it and took it apart to investigate.
The dwell hasn't been touched nor have any of the other settings.

The reason I'm presuming that it's the 'noid is of the two I have one has the screw damage which fires but is very inconsitent and the other leaks and will only fire if the rear port is blocked.
Everything else seems to be ok with no other leaks and set as the manula suggests, cheers.
