Freak Barrel Kits - Worth the money?

A quick query for you all before I spend more of my hard earned:

I'm looking to replace the stock barrel on my SLG with something better as I was not overly impressed with it and am stuck between a moderately priced one piece barrel or a a more expensive option like a Python or Freak kit. Is a Freak kit worth it's price tag? Is the cheaper Python kit any good or am I better off with a moderately priced one peice?

Any Advice welcomed :D

Barrel kits

Freak Kits in my opinion are very old school, but with a wide range of inserts you will im sure, always find one to fit the size of paint you use.

Paint recently is really coming in small, i have been using through some of this summer series a Sly Barrel kit and having to use a .683 or .685 at most events.

There are plenty of options out there, but i must say Unitec lucky barrels are a popular choice, One piece barrel with a straight through bore with a back to fit your type of thread.

These can often be had for about £45 a full kit of three barrels and one back off of here.

Un1tech barrels are £60 from warped. You get one back piece (which simply connects the barrel to the marker) and three different bored barrels (.685, .689, 693).

I use a Un1tech on my SLG but I only have the .689 bore. It's really light, and I've never had a problem with barrel breaks.
:p
I'd recommend the Un1techs for value-for-money - even better of you find a kit second hand.

I use a Un1tech kit on my sons ION. Never had any problems with it - not even with 'odd' shaped paint. I'd highly recommend them.

I also have a full freak kit for it - and that never gets used any more.
