So hes only coming back if he gets outside investment.
At a time when most of the industry is losing money.

I can see the queues forming outside his door now.

Its nice to dream but is there even room in the market for a gun with the quality of the mag?

What with most of the current markers being shat out in china, hyped to the max and they still cant turn a profit.
There'll always be customers for quality, just not as many of them.

I personally don't mind paying what some see as over the odds when I know it is craftsmanship I am getting.

People will drop a grand for a luxe......

But that supports my point ;)

Toms markers would be the kind of quality that costs more in terms of tooling and materials.

The lux shows if you want to sell a high end gun for a lot of money, your best off putting all your money in to marketting and endorsements.

I do get what your saying Jim.
You have your AMG mercedes and your ford fiestas. Two separate markets.
But in the car market the relative quality and performance is easy to assess.

For most paintballers the illusion of quality is enough and thats easier to acheive for the manufactueres who dont have engineers like Tom Kaye at their disposal.

It is meant to support your point. Imagine what that Luxe/Sl money could have really bought.

Ah

Agreed you should get alot more for the price of the high end guns.

But you need the right people in place before you throw money at engineering / development. Or it becomes a money pit.

Most manufacturers are best of doing what they are doing.
Which is producing an Angel or Ion based gun thats so simple it works very well.
And then marketting the crap out of it.

I would rather drop a grand on a Limitied edition Emag

At least it would hold it's value better

I've gone through more x's than most (6ish) and would quite happily buy a new one if they were produced, all of mine have increased in value in the time that i've had them.

Its interesting where the market seems to be heading, shochtech producing cockers, there well could be a market for other brands to reproduce there old markers now that there isnt a impetus for speed, rather for quality.

Saying that I'm sure if any one was paid enough (cash to get the ball rolling!) they would reproduce or re engineer any marker.
