Safety device if a bottle becomes over pressurised, this will burst before your bottle blows up.

HPA has 2 and CO2 has 1 fitted.

how come there are different rated ones from 1.3 etc and what do the numbers relate to ?

Different ratings for different rated bottles and regulators.

3000psi or 4500psi bottles.
HP or LP regulators.

Must always be changed like for like.

a usual example will bethat a hp reg will have a primary burst disk of 5000psi with a secondary of 1800psi the first stops the bottle blowing as rich said and the second protects the gun from a ott dose of air
