Thanks for the support guys, it does mean alot. When we put on these events (west mids and this one) we only had a handful of dates so there wasn't alot of choice of when to host them so we apreciate the fixture pile up problems.

We knew that not every team would play it, many teams already had comitments to the various leagues in the UK already and we would never want to pull teams away from them. Nor did any one request that we do this, we knew what we were getting into and did this off our own back because it is what we believed was the right thing to do and would bring benefits long term to the sport/industry.

But, for years people have debated ways of trying to get the public to recognise that we are not rambo's in the woods, and we believed the best way to show people was to do these type of events in public areas where it cannot be missed. The West Mids event attracted a good amount of spectators and i know that our staff, and myself spent alot of time talking to the public. Not to mention some of the guys from the teams going round the show in their playing kit and interacting with the public made it the sucess it was by us all working together.

To all the guys and girls that are travelling form all over the country, Ireland and Scotland taking part as players and spectators i thankyou for your support for both our events, and for tournament paintball. Also to the sponsors of the events that have helped us and supported our dream we are truly thankful to you guys. I believe it will be a step in the right direction and it will be made possible by all of you that are there, and hopefully we can look back on it in the future and say i was part of that.

I think the remarks about teams lacking comitment to paintball is one of the most ridiculous things i have read in a long time.

The teams are commited to event series that is why they cannot pay out a load more money to play yet another event, it is about who is the best, if its not then what the hell are you playing for?

I am sure that everyone involved is trying to promote paintball in the right way but the bottom line is the money pot to play is only so big for each individual /team.

This constant barrage of "if you dont play the blackpool event then you really dont care" or the other stupid remark "you lack commitment" is fine if you are going to pay the rent , gas and electric for me this month.

The federation has asked everyone to play and support the masters and nspl to stabalize the tournament scene which is what seems to be happening.

Another event , even if it is high profile is just a little too much to ask in one of the most expensive months of the year if you have family.

good luck to all and lets hope the weather is kind.

Don't think you are being singled out.

It is a general rant that from the whole of the UK paintball scene these guys can't get 16 teams, thats right 16, who really want to publicise themselves and help promote and develop the sport.

If you think playing there is expensive, we have ONE league in Ireland and paint is 50 Euro a box, no other option but site paint.

And fyi, I'm bringing a wife, 2 infants and a mother in law

Just started a new job on Saturdays, boo hoo, but driving up from Swindon to watch on Sunday. Only 4 hour trip apparently but then i'm a Lorry driver so that don't bother me that much and i've never been to Blackpool:eek:

P~S Just had a brain wave if anyone wants to hire a minibus down south I don't mind driving it but as I said I can only do Sunday.
