Blackpool . why should they bother !!
Right guys after looking at what Balls out promotions are having to do fill the spots .
I know they putting a lot of there own money into it and they are not making a profit on these type of events I feel I have to step up and put my 2p in .
As some of you may be aware there are dropping the entrance to £250 as long as they get 16 teams at the event .
Now to my point !
I asked the guys why are teams dropping out ? the answer I got was they can not afford to do the event , I am shocked by this .
In my mind teams can not afford NOT to do this event , WHY ? This is the highest profile event in the UK for as long as I can remember (which is a long time) If teams are serious about trying to get sponsorship for this season or upcoming seasons, you have to seen at these events , they will raise the profile of your team 10 fold , not with the public but with the very people you are trying to impress and don’t think for one second that its all about winning , winning with out a doubt makes a huge decision when taking a team and giving them a sponsorship package .I know for a fact that certain high profile people are attending this event just to see what kind off impact this event produces.
This event in Blackpool is said to create over 60,000 people walking though it on a August Saturday ? Even if they only stay and watch for 5 minutes , we have done our job as a community.
How much walkthrough traffic does a Millennium get at Campaign Cup Get I wonder, I know for a fact its nowhere that kind of number , if I guessed at 2000 people over the weekend, I don’t think I would be far wrong. This event is not in a field in the middle of nowhere , its on a promenade of one of the busiest seaside towns in the country !!
Come on people step up , this is an event that you should not be missing !!
If I was a sponsor I would be asking why my teams aren’t playing it !!
