Blackpool . why should they bother !!

Right guys after looking at what Balls out promotions are having to do fill the spots .

I know they putting a lot of there own money into it and they are not making a profit on these type of events I feel I have to step up and put my 2p in .

As some of you may be aware there are dropping the entrance to £250 as long as they get 16 teams at the event .

Now to my point !

I asked the guys why are teams dropping out ? the answer I got was they can not afford to do the event , I am shocked by this .

In my mind teams can not afford NOT to do this event , WHY ? This is the highest profile event in the UK for as long as I can remember (which is a long time) If teams are serious about trying to get sponsorship for this season or upcoming seasons, you have to seen at these events , they will raise the profile of your team 10 fold , not with the public but with the very people you are trying to impress and don’t think for one second that its all about winning , winning with out a doubt makes a huge decision when taking a team and giving them a sponsorship package .I know for a fact that certain high profile people are attending this event just to see what kind off impact this event produces.

This event in Blackpool is said to create over 60,000 people walking though it on a August Saturday ? Even if they only stay and watch for 5 minutes , we have done our job as a community.

How much walkthrough traffic does a Millennium get at Campaign Cup Get I wonder, I know for a fact its nowhere that kind of number , if I guessed at 2000 people over the weekend, I don’t think I would be far wrong. This event is not in a field in the middle of nowhere , its on a promenade of one of the busiest seaside towns in the country !!

Come on people step up , this is an event that you should not be missing !!

If I was a sponsor I would be asking why my teams aren’t playing it !!

unfortuntely a lot of people are saving up to play the last masters/nspl as well as campaign, and simply cannot afford to have to travel the length of the country to play a one off tourny!
Travel costs, hotels etc, As well as entry and paint!

It does seem a shame, but maybe its just bad timing and definately not in a great location for the majority of UK teams!

but as its bang infront of the last rounds of the 2 major series currently in the uk, which the federation is trying to establish, sure that defeats the object of what they are trying to acheive?!

We are travelling from Ireland just to play this event, I think it is a shame and disgrace that UK teams aren't banging Balls Out Promotions doors begging for a spot. When else are you going to get to play the likes of Disruption, SoManc, Warped and the rest??

About time UK ball pulled its thumb out of its arse. Well done to Balls Out, I genuinely admire what you are doing.

I'm not questioning the efforts of the idea itself, however i was offering a voice from a perspective of someone who plays week in week out in the uk!

I think it comes at a bad point in the season for many teams!

With regards to playing those teams, perhaps they should look at playing the uk tournies that are available! We can only hope to nationalise the sport if everyone works together!

""there are no spare weekends any more, the calander is full. you have to take whats left to put events on. unless your thinking about the week before christmas""

Then you cannot moan that people have made other plans for something they have been commited to all season!

as do i, and every week i end up in some random feild. that some one has found. on a hill covered in stones. 6 inches of water. covered in cow DooDoo
and yet i pay full whack. no one sponsors me ! and yet here we are looking at the event where sponsors should be getting there money back. and players playing on the highest profile pitch ever put on in England.
