How can you fine/ban a team for not showing up to an event that doesn't count for points in the league? Especially after telling teams that it was not a mandatory event....

The teams were told it was a mandatory event. However, it'd be hard for them to enforce a contract legally, when the teams were not aware in advance of what they were being asked to commit to (in terms of both the type of events, and the venues.)

I think it's not unfair to say that Notorious have put themselves on the wrong side of the Decorum rule a few times over the last couple of seasons, but any team deserves at least the right of reply before public announcements are made. I take it that the disciplinary committee has no formal appeals procedure in place?

We have been told there is an appeal process but it must be a very odd one as they have already made the announcement. Its all very strange. And obviously we can't appeal until we have had something in writing from MS, for which we are STILL waiting...............

Just turn up to registration at Basildon with the whole team and let them tell you the news there and then, of course at this point you will have to show how much decorum you really have ;)

Not mandatory?

Here is what we received from MS regarding Paris:

To confirm to all Millennium locked league teams - participation in the Millennium Cup is part of your license agreement and is not an optional event.

I am still pissed just looking at the scores.

How do you get reffing points for a none scoring event?

we have now dropped 2 places in the rankings because of this.

Why are div1 teams aloud to ref to get points in a locked div?
