Wearing shorts to paintball?

It's a no no for tourney for sure, but for training and for woodsball I guess it would be down to the discretion of the site owner.
Could i ask why they would stop you wearing paintball short? I can see why they would stop you wearing normal shorts but paintball shorts.

I heard thats it somthing to do with paintballs hitting bare skin. Is off putting? Not sure how true that is but im sure someone will have the answer.

There was a guy in the 2006 (I think it was 2006) Toulouse Millenniums with a prosthetic leg that wore shorts. He is the only tournament player I have seen wearing them.

Probably something to do with skin & paintballs not mixing too well I would guess :rolleyes:

wearing shorts is not allowed in toruny due to the easy of covering a hit up, think about it if your shorts are a little bit high when you are kneeling in a bunker and u get hit in the upper leg for example "quads" then when you stand the shorts will lower meaning the shot will be covered.
