I'm looking to upgrade the front of my Proto two piece barrel to a Dye UL front at some point in the future but i have an Air Force One PMR 09....

So i have 3 questions:

- is the Blue colour of the Dye Ultralite barrel the same blue as the PMR Air Force One?

- Will i notice an increase in accuracy over the Proto barrel which has a few rows less of porting?

- Just checking that the Proto back and UL front are compatible? i remember seeing somewhere that they are... but i can't remember where to check!

The blue will be different, dyes blue is more royal blue.

Depends on the paint you use and the bore of the UL, But i have found my UL to be more quiet than the proto barrel.

And you can mix and match between dye and proto barrels.

As Foot said - as the Airforce is a limited colour, the stock colours of the UL barrel won't match. But you can always get it re-annoed from Slothball if you really want to :)

I've also found the Dye UL barrels to be more accurate to the Proto 2 piece barrels in my experience.

Re-annoing is just moar money though :(

i suppose i kind of want a olive green PMR anyway....

you will proberly find no difference in performance not much to pick and choose between the proto or the dye barrel tbh

the barrel backs are the bits that effect the accuracy.

Having the longer barrel does not help, stuck a 16" and a 12" tip onto my ul barrel and found no differance. although the 12" is mildly louder and the 16" squeeked a little with every shot :p

I disagree, the tips also play there part.

If you tape up the porting on the tip of your barrel your accuracy is all over the place. So the whole barrel works in unison.
