what was your favourite issue of PGi

i am starting to miss my monthly issue of PGi now.
I can understand how much money must go into a magazine and how much time and effort goes with it.

I have tried the patches and the gum but nothing compares to the best magazine that fell on to my door matt.

I think my 2 favorite issues have to be:

I'm not sure on the date or number but it was the one that covered robbo and his years of ballin. Yes i admit it robbo is one of my idol's and one of my biggest influences in paintball.

The 2nd will have to be the last ever issue produced. Purely for the fact that i still read it over and over again.
So what if i just look at the pictures its not my fault if i can't read and write properly (thank or gates for splel check).

I just want to thank robbo and all the gang who put their blood sweat and ink into the greatest magazine there ever was ( in my eyes anyway)

I totally agree with you. I am seriously missing PGI so much that I am trying to get as many back issues as I can get my hands on. All the others jsut pale into insignificance in my view...in fact if you have any back issues you dont mind getting rid of please let me know as I will galdy take em off you your hands and will pay too

I think I would select the 200th edition as my favourite but the edition I hate the most is the last one .... when PGi closed, I think a part of me died, I know that sounds over dramatic and a touch clichéd but it became a huge part of me after nearly 20 years on writing in it.

I had in all that time been working for Matt Tudor (Rancid) who was one of my very few close friends, the truth of the matter is (although he would probably deny it) he only kept it running for the last 18 months or so because of me and his friendship to me.

He kept it going when anybody else in his position would have closed it I am sure .... that's the sort of friendship and loyalty you just can't buy.
I miss PGi and I'm sooo sorry it closed :(

Mine has to be the first issue I saw in WHSmith's that introduced me to the world of paintball beyond the rental days I was attending.

My fave issue was something like May 2003, the issue after my team and I came 4th Pro in Amsterdam, and Robbo wrote a little section on us :) mostly he wrote "was it a fluke" and "Sosta can't have been playing....surely?" but hey, we got in PGI :p #1 Dynasty, #2 Tontons, #3 Ugly Ducklings, #4 Storm UK :D

Robbo, may I ask, what do you do now for a living?
