Hey, i'm new to the forums and I would like some help.

Do you guys think it will be possible for me to be able to get a tippmann 98 custom, and sniper conversion kit for no more than £200 total, inc p+p?

If so, can you please just help me out.

Thanks, Dan.

So you're playing woodsball yeah? The tippmann is probably the most reliable and robust marker you could buy, but for that price you can get awesome quality out of a tournament style marker and just play with it in the woods. An example of such a marker would be a second hand ego5 or etek.

I'd also question your "sniper" conversion, a paintball is a spherical projectile with a large caliber flying relatively slowly. Basically, that means they fly maybe 70-80 meters very inaccurately. Compared to a 30 inch barrel, you can get very similar accuracy out of an 8 inch barrel. Bear that in mind :)

Edit: if you're still set on a tippy and a sniper conversion, i'd point you over to www.ukscenario.com

Thanks for your reply, taking in what you've told me I would probably settle for just a scope, thats what I meant by sniper, just so I have a better sight of whats ahead.

Thanks for the info.

No worries. A scope would just be useful for scouting your opposition really as a paintball never flies straight, you're better off learning how to aim down either side of your barrel so that you can aim with any marker (not just one with your scope on it). Hey, see what works for you buddy!

Meh, i'm not boasting or anything... But I have an amazing shot :p The scope would just help me see more, as it would most likely be a telescopic scope :p Do you know of any places where I could get the equipment?

Haha, try that with a feedneck in your way ;) Your guess is as good as mine with regards to scopes, i'd suggest airgun stores and look for a picatinny rail adaptor (most milsim stuff i've seen is picatinny).

I would recommend a Tippmann A5 second hand, a RAP4 recon barrel - 12" with the Apex tip and a stock of your choice.

should easily come in under £200 - although the barrel and apex tip work out at ~£65.
