Sorry for bumping/double posting but i was thinking whats the best place to get the items cheaper (even if its slightly) as i'm not that prepaired to pay over £450 overall so far. Also I'm unsure as to what type i want to play so i guess i would need an "all rounder" marker if theres such a thing so please help me.

The forums here, I think I've probably saved well over 150 quid on here so far getting good as new things and I've only bought four or five things, just make sure you're buying from a trusted seller and investigate them if you have doubts and you'll be fine :)

if your in sunderland,
massive attack paintball near the seaham turn off is an awsom place to play. the staff are awsom, and they usually have walkon days (normally in the holidays). theres also point blank that do torny walk ons, which is near darlington.
:)

also, the classifides are a VERY good place to buy. An ion would be a good all round marker, can be cheap as chips too. one went for £50 the other day! (normally about £100 or so)

Well.... who knows we may bump into each other at some point! Also i should try and find some way to get a possible "dibs" on a marker but meh, "First come, First Serve".

Off-Topic: I see that we have 2 things in common, 1: were both from Sunderland and 2: We both been to "Bede 6th Form" (well I had)

Hi SJ

I have also just started out paintballing (even though I am as yet to do my first walk on BUT...) I have found the classified ads a great place to pick up kit and would recommend it to anyone. Ive grabbed an upgraded Ion, hopper, god knows how much playing gear etc for less than 250 quid!!! Only thing I (will) have bought new is an air bottle (alu 0.8 for 76 quid).

Yes its an expensive sport / hobby but depends on how serious you take it or where you want to go with it. Some of the guys / girls on here baffle me with what can be done but if you do the reseach, someone recommended youtube links in an earlier post (goldmine of info) its deffo worth it.

Anyway good luck with searching / buying....it gets addictive :D
