I showed up last weekend solo and clueless :), but the guys were great! I had a blast and I'm looking forward to this one. (unless something crazy happens)

NQ,

I'm going to bring my marker this time with a bottle... so hopefully all I need is a box of paint and some instructions on how to chrono as well as fill the bottle.

There were a few of you who weren't so sure about air fills etc. So, if Luke and Co. don't mind - I'll go through some very basic air safety and fill techniques with those who need 'help'.

Luke - let me know if this is OK with you.

That is a really good idea!!

Also a bit about barrel socks as well. There were several times when i heard very new players being told to put a sock on. I know they are new but guys this is SO IMPORTANT.

Mate I live in Chorley and go to most of these - it will be cheaper for you to get a train to Chorley and then jump in my car :D

Failing that, I can pick you up from the airport as I know the area well, growing up half a mile from the runway!

Just to add on what e-whore said, not only did we witness several incidents of no barrel socks, but also one person who tried to be a bit too blaisé about it for our liking. I'm not naming names, but safety should be everyone's number 1 priority - the same goes for the 2 times I had to shout at peeps for lifting their masks whilst still in the live-fire area.

We were all newbies at one time or other, but if in doubt, be cautious - put your barrel sock on well before you leave the field, and lift your mask when you're well off it.

I know that Luke and The Firm do a fantastic job down there each and every month (except Wozza who's just lazy :p) but now that the numbers are getting so large, we all need to keep an eye out and watch out for each other - and if some of the more veteran players such as e-whore, raffles or myself ask you to do something, we're asking it for a reason.
