mike from tech pb put some lube on the threads that seemed to stop the wearing
Er..... I wouldnt put lube or anything resembling oil near anything that has pressurized air.

I ran HP on my mini for a year before I realised I had an HP system on a LP gun. It works perfect, and there was no wear on my threads. Just clean the threads regularly and you wont have problems.

I currently use the SP on/off, works a treat, and moves the bottle away from your wrist (stops you having the camp wrist thing). You should all get away from thinking you need a "tight" or "compact" setup, and move to having a comfortable setup that gives you a decent shooting platform. Bending your wrist around a bottle is not the way forward :)

The lube Mike suggests would be okay, BUT because I don't trust little monkeys to actually make the distinction between oil and water based lubes I'm gonna agree and say NEVER PUT LUBE ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR BOTTLE!

The tight setup is great if you have tiny arms, at which point the shooting position is just right. If you're a bigger/normal sized guy, I agree, there is such a thing as too short (lol, sex) and you'll find your posture gets all contorted and less efficient.

After nearly ripping a reg off my tank because i screwed it in so hard and after watching TechPB, and quite awhile of searching the web, (to find a site in the UK that sells the darn stuff)
I ordered some tri-flow (little 2oz bottle) and it works like a dream, I would happily have sex with it (well, not really)

Only thing that shocked me about it is that on the back of it it says "This product contains chemicals known to the state of californa to cause cancer" Now, this is proberly only if you bath in it but nevertheless...
