I hear from people in Germany that the marker should have a stamp on it - F stamp to enter Germany.

Where do we get this and where do they check it?
Is this only for German citizens or for foreigners as well?

We will drive from Luxembourg, do they check the markers at the customs?

Thanks

It's for everyone. Most decent size WDP/Smart Parts/Planet etc dealers should have a stamp...

There are no customs when driving in to Germany, I doubt Luxembourg customs at the airport would be too fussed about German regulations.

TBH, unless you have a bagfull of markers (i.e. German customs would consider that you are importing them for resale) then there should be little issue at German airport customs if you can prove/explain that it is just for the event. Once there I susspect that you will find its only the German teams that have F stamps on their equipment.

yeah its a real waste of time.........until the cops start looking in kit bags.

The Bullets were in Germany just before the Malaga event and got stopped when driving. Cop asked them to open their gear bags and not one of their guns were stamped.

All their new DM9's, including Mr U's World Cup winning DM8 were taken and never to be seen again.

It only takes one players gear bag to be opened at the airport and for the player to explain there is a paintball event going on and then they will stop every group of guys travelling and search bags. No amount of expaining or showing paintball magazines will help you.

There's plenty of time to get them stamped so best do it !

It's not only the F stamp you should be worried about. To be legal in Germany a marker needs an F stamp, a cal .68 stamp(to show what caliber "bullet" it's firing) and a dealer stamp from an authorised dealer of that specific brand of marker in Germany. I'm pretty sure most places won't care that much about the dealer stamp but the cal .68 is as important as the F stamp.
But in de 3 years that I've been going to Germany for paintball I've never had to show that my marker had the stamps.

Polish team Ranger were stopped by the german police a couple years back while on their way to a Millennium event in France - Most of their markers were confiscated to be never seen again and the owners received charges.
