air tank fittings?

hey

hoppfully some one will know the answer to this im hopping my local dive shop can fill my tanks for me but he said he can only use "a" clamps or "B" fittings? i think ? dose anyone one know if either of these is the one used on an air tank if not what its called?

I think he means "A" clamp or "din". You may be out of luck as he doesn't seem to know about our bottles, so i doubt he will have the converter he needs to connect to our bottles.

just get a din air filling station and they will be able to fill ur tank for you. All dive centres should be able to fill your tank with either a din or an a clamp filling station.

will they not need the adapter we use to fill air tanks or is this the same as they use for dive thingys? (i dont know what divers use it for lol):rolleyes:

The filling station has the adapter already on it so you wont need to buy it. but saying that, it ur only intending on getting ur tanks filled at a dive centre then you should only need an adatper and not the whole filling station kit. adapters are hard to get hold of. Only one I found is on ebay.

If the guy in the dive shop is going to fill you off dive tanks then you will need either an a clamp fill station or din fill station.

If he is filling your tank straight off the compressor then you will need an in line adapter depending on what output he currently has attached.

Filling from a tank is easier.

your could always go to your local field and ask for a fill !
