i know that alot of people on here have tadao boards in their various guises... i am purchasing an xsv sl74 and will look at purchasing a Violent Yakuza Series USB Ego 7/8 & Geo Board for it... how easy are they to fit, bearing in mind i have the touch of a ***ist and i am assuming that all settings like dwell and bolt delay shizzle can be adjusted by the computer program that accompanies the board...

any other recommendations?

thanks again for the time and valuable advice that will be given here!

If you think you are capable of removing three small screws and unplugging two small connections then you will find swapping the boards easy.

There really is nothing to it mate.

The dwell and all the other settings can be adjusted from the screen on the marker, no need for a computer to set up it all up. The computer software they supply with the USB version boards is for saving your personnal settings and customising the display screen.

I rate the Tadao boards very highly and have run them in the last 3 markers i have owned. Most of my team mates run them and swear by them as well.

As CRASH says they are easy.
When in programming mode you can still use the marker and adjust settings until you find what you like;easy to reset as well.
Obviously the settings lock must be used during tournaments.
Ther trigger sensitivity is what you will notice straight away...:D

ash did you have one in your sl74?
Yes he did mate, they fit in any 07/08 models such as the sl74 and sl8r, they will even fit in an etek2 star frame.

And as stated by the guys the usb really only gives you the option to customise the screen and upload new data into them.

I have one in the sales thread if your interested, not the usb one but is only used a little.

And will save you nearly 50% once you have it shipped in from the states or where ever you plan on getting it from.

Also Major bonus is no taking the grip screws off when you want to change the settings, just hold the trigger in as you turn it on and your into setting mode.. ;)

Hope this helps

I can't be a 100% sure on that mate... the board has a manufactured date of august last year..

There are about 4 or 5 ports on it so you may be correct.

There are pictures up of it in my sales thread,
