Thanks ledz for the honest reply though, at least we all know for sure now that it is deff due to the exchange rate and the current climate.
Personally i must admit it sounds tempting with the freebies in the end ure still paying more or less the same for a geo or ego if u count in the 200 od quid for the bags

No, Planet has not gone mad. Well, maybe a little.
Given that the Ego 5 had an RRP of £850 when it was first released, and that Planet are now giving away extras worth over £200 with the Ego 9 or Geo (until April 24).......you are paying about £100 less for a new Ego than you did in 2005.
What's not to like?

My car cost £10,000 when released...I bought it for £600....It was junk when new and its rusty junk now.
Sorry thought this had nearly as much relevance as your post. Maybe you should have posted this as a reply in the thread already there. And the issue wasnt the price it was the price rise (prices going up so severly overnight.) Oh I really like PE stuff if that ties my reply in better.
