It still would have been nice for a little bit of a release stating why the prices were suddenly raised. Yes it is justifiable to increase the price in the current economy, but it would have done well for them to actually explain what's going on rather than just throwing it at us and hoping we'll understand.

I'm not in the market for an Eclipse, and probably won't be for a long time, but seeing the shock reactions here certainly makes it seem that a little bit of communication could have gone a long way.

And I'm assuming that if the the prices of replacement parts and spares go up, there'll be some kind of extension to the warranty, especially if people will be hanging onto their markers for a few more years than usual.

I'm not looking for an answer but just have a think: were you about to buy one? If so then it sucks for you as some people will have got a far better deal and no doubt 2nd hand prices will go up. It would be cool to have a sellers market for once.
So Bob, what you selling now?;)

I guess it won't be long before paint prices rise too, seeing as so much of that is made stateside as well.

Anyone for more cheap pump play? ;)

you know americans must be laughing at us... £1400 for a gun that shoots paint... you can buy a few real guns for that!

oh and car prices have actually gone down not up e.g. a new range rover that used to cost 75,000 now costs 45,000 because no one wants to spend money on a new car anymore when they might not have a job tomorrow

Paint Prices have been rising it just you the end user just hasnt seen the affect yet as the hike hasnt been large enough to affect the retail pricing yet, but you will find if anyone sells very high end paint like Evil or Cyclone expect to be paying £35+ for it. I should imagine planet have been nursing the exchange rate impact for a long time, the dollar dropped dramatically from at one point being past 2 to what it is now.

I guess it must now be the time where all the countrys we hammered get their own back and rape us for every penny we have robbed from them for years.

I have always said stuff the Euro stuff Europe, keep Britain British, we dont need the cack thats made elsewhere anyways, our tiny little country can and will produce the best products in the world like we done for many many years then just gave away the ideas for or sold out patents for.

Most top inventions were invented or thought up by the British then built elsewhere so they could cream more money in. Even things the Americans claim to have invented were thought up by a British person over there.

I honestly wonder why we pay the European union millions or billions a year just to say we are in it but i guess thats a post for another section of the forum :D
